Meet Our Fellow

Dr. Rahul K. Sharma completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, where he pursued Molecular and Cellular Biology alongside classical painting and drawing with a focus on portraiture. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and completed his Head & Neck Surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier training programs.

 

Dr. Sharma specializes in facial aesthetic surgery, with particular interests in deep-plane facelift surgery, primary and revision rhinoplasty, as well as eyelid and brow rejuvenation. His approach emphasizes comprehensive facial rejuvenation, restoring balance, harmony, and confidence while preserving each patient’s unique identity.

 

An active contributor to the academic advancement of facial plastic surgery, Dr. Sharma has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and has led clinical trials supported by both the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. His commitment to evidence-based practice allows him to combine the latest scientific advances with meticulous surgical technique to deliver natural, refined outcomes.

 

Dr. Sharma’s background in fine art continues to influence his surgical philosophy. Years of training in classical portraiture have cultivated a deep appreciation for facial proportions, symmetry, and aesthetic balance, helping him develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and anatomy.

 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Sharma enjoys playing both electric and acoustic guitar and previously performed with a classic rock cover band in Nashville. He also continues to paint classical portraits and landscapes and draws inspiration from master artists including John Singer Sargent, Rembrandt, and William-Adolphe Bouguereau.”
